Napa Valley’s Vineyards
Napa Valley is one of the nine great wine capitals of the world. It is located in the Bay Area, California in the United States of America. It is a premier tourist destination, with millions of tourists arriving here annually to see of America’s biggest wine growing center. People arrive mainly during the summer season, and during the harvest time in September and October. Napa Valley is also known for its gourmet restaurant serving delicious cuisine that complements the great wines.

The Napa Valley Museum
The Napa Valley Museum is located in Yountville. It houses an extensive collection of exhibits and artifacts depicting the life and history of Napa Valley. It also has exhibits on several other topics. It is a well lit and airy building, and well designed. It also has special programs for kids.
Old Faithful Geyser of California
The Old Faithful Geyser, California is one of only three “Old faithful” geysers in the world. “Old faithful” is a name used to distinguish geysers that perform at regular time periods.
Napa Valley Wine Train
Napa Valley Wine Train is run by the Napa Valley Railroad (N V R R). It is an excursion train that runs between Napa and St. Helena, C A. The train passes the towns Yountville, Rutherford and Oakville, and one can see the major vineyards and wineries in the Napa Valley.
The Wineries
Beringer
Beringer is Napa valley’s oldest winery, and is a popular winery with the hordes. As the place can get extremely crowded, a guided tour will ensure personalized attention. The splendid Rhine house is a historic building. Zinfandel white wines are excellent to the taste.
Castello di Amorosa
Castello di Amoroso is housed in an excellent reproduction of a 12th century Tuscan castle with a moat and drawbridge along with a fully equipped dungeon. It also includes a medieval torture chamber. The castle was built with the same materials and same style as a real castle at the time would have been built.
This is a fairly new winery known more for the tourist experience offered rather than for wine quality. Reservation is required. Wine tasting fee is taken.
Schramsberg
Schramsberg, founded in 1862, is one of Napa Valley’s oldest wineries. The sparkling wines bottled here match French champagnes in quality. The tours include a walk through the hand dug caves, and the guides are well informed and polite. Tasting the products is also another great experience. heir products in the caves or in the small, intimate tasting room, you’re in for a treat.
You need to reserve well in advance, as the number of people that can be accommodated per day is limited.
Del Dotto Vineyards
The Del Dotto Vineyards are known for the best tasting experiences in Napa Valley. Tasting is done directly from the barrels, providing an extremely unique experience.
Del Dotto has two locations; one in Hedge side Distillery Building and one in St Helena.
The St Helena location is reminiscent of a Venetian Palazzo and has marble paved floors.
